The Forest Reference Emission Levels (FREL), which were, amongst others, formulated by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) is introduced to all stakeholders by the Managing Body for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (BP REDD+). This is the final step before it is passed as a state document. Among the ministries and government institutions involved in formulating the FREL are alsovthe BP REDD+, the Environment and Forestry Ministry, the Agriculture Ministry, the National Space and Aviation Agency (LAPAN), the Geospatial Information Board (BIG), the Bogor-based Institute of Agriculture (IPB), the United Nations Office for REDD+ Coordination in Indonesia (UNORCID), and the Nature Conservation (TNC).
