He added that base on CIFOR research there is an increase in land prices around USD 3 million after the burning land. Before burning, land prices range from Rp 8 million, and after burning to Rp 11 million per hectare. Once planted with oil palm, the price doubled again, about USD 50 million, and could reach USD 100 million per hectare when planted with oil palm seeds.
