World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) and partners are delighted to be hosting Tree Diversity Day 2014. The full-day event on the theme ‘Tree diversity for landscape restoration’ will take place on Friday, 10 October 2014, at the Rio Conventions Pavilion alongside the 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP12) in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea.
Besides ICRAF, speakers for the Day are drawn from the Korea Forest Service, Department of Environmental Affairs-South Africa, CBD, UNCCD, World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC)-UNEP, FAO, International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), and the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, together with the CGIAR Research Programme on Forests, Trees and Agroforestry partners Bioversity International and the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).
