The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the Research, Development and Innovation Agency (FOERDIA) of the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry will be extending their partnership, a mutual vision of improving scientific knowledge-sharing and communication as well as sharing research results to increase capacity-building and publicize research in the form of a Brown Bag discussion.
In recognition of the initiative, CIFOR and FOERDIA will be holding their first discussion, ‘Where to next? Finding synergies in the management of peatlands and forest fires in Indonesia.’ Researchers will discuss how the management of peatlands and forest fires can be improved to have greater impact and create sustainable landscapes, where forests can deliver the maximum benefits for people and the environment.
The event will be held on Wednesday, 12 April 2017, 08.30 – 12.00 at Global Forestry Hall, CIFOR campus, Bogor.
