CIFOR advances human wellbeing, environmental conservation and equity by conducting research to inform policies and practices that affect forests in developing countries. As part of the Consultative Group on International Agriculture Research (CGIAR), CIFOR is actively sharing its research results to help people recognise the value of forests for maintaining livelihoods and ecosystems.

During the 23rd World Congress of the International Union of Forest Research Organisations (IUFRO) 2010, CIFOR will make important contributions through presentations and exhibitions.
