The IUFRO Regional Congress for Asia and Oceania will be held in Beijing from 24 to 27 October. Covering approximately one-quarter of the world’s land area and home to more than half the world’s population, the region supports rich biodiversity amid rapid development.
With the theme “Forests for Sustainable Development: The Role of Research”, CIFOR scientists will be attending and presenting important and innovative research from the region. Discussing the status and trend of forests and sustainable forestry, the event will inform new research as well as policy and decision making about forest governance.
