Nicole Heise is a research consultant for CIFOR. She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). Joined CIFOR as an intern in 2018 and has continued working as a research assistant. Particular interest in qualitative and quantitative analysis related to environmental issues. She has been involved in research about conflict associated with land reforms, multi-stakeholder forums, and community forest management. She is also the president and co-founder of Ficus Peru, a Peruvian NGO dedicated to socio-environmental projects in underserved areas with the implementation of green technologies.
