Douglas Ombogoh
Research Officer
Douglas Ombogoh is a Research Officer with the Equity, Gender, Justice & Tenures team at CIFOR. He has research interests focusing on natural resource governance, policy and institutional analysis, collective action, multi stakeholder processes and climate change. Douglas has coordinated research to strengthen local level governance of forests and water among local communities in East Africa's Montane forests, fostering collective action among smallholder farmers and climate change adaptation. He has implemented capacity building on gender integration in natural resource management and worked with communities and partners in East Africa to develop forest and water management plans, and contributed to knowledge products on natural resource governance. Douglas holds a Master’s degree in Environmental studies (Climate change and sustainability) from Kenyatta University in Kenya.
