Reducing poverty, building peace and protecting the environment are the three major commitments of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the operational unit of Austrian Development Cooperation, operating in Africa, Asia, South-Eastern and Eastern Europe and in the Caribbean. ADA is one of CIFOR’s top funders and supports CIFOR’s work on nutritional and ecological benefits of forest and tree cover, engaging the forest-farm interface in improving livelihoods and environmental outcomes, and gender and tenure in community forestry.
