The year 2019, we witnessed some of the greatest challenges shift gears from urgent to emergency–climate crisis, landscape degradation, wildfires and biodiversity loss. But momentum was built–a result of strong partnerships to put forests at the fore, highlighting nature-based solutions, and recognizing local forest communities and Indigenous Peoples as the best land managers for forest conservation.
