RI SUFFERS RP. 83 BILLION FROM FOREST DAMAGE A DAY

Bogor, W Java, - Indonesia has suffered a financial loss of Rp83 billion a day due to forest devastation, head of research agency at the Forestry Ministry, Hadi Pasaribu said here on Thursday. `With such a destruction level, people said the damaged forest cover is camparable to a football square per minute,` Hadi said on the sideline of the Earth Day commemoration and the launching of a Tree Adoption Program.
