Climate change, supply change - the future of sustainable commodities

Watch this discussion Forum from the first day of the Global Landscapes Forum 2014, in Lima, Peru, during COP20. The expansion in the production of agricultural commodities is a key driver of up to 50% of deforestation in the tropics. The challenge is to ensure the increase in demand for commodities is met through means which offer sustainability and avoid further deforestation. This panel discusses the barriers currently preventing the uptake of sustainable commodities and how governments, the private sector, civil society and donors can best join forces to accelerate change.ModeratorGustavo FonsecaHead of Natural ResourcesGlobal Environment FacilitySpeakersMaría Cristina Morales PalareaMinister of Environment ParaguayMark BurrowsManaging Director and Vice ChairmanGlobal Investment Banking Credit SuisseNaoko IshiiCEOGlobal Environment Facility Thomas LingardDirector Global Advocacy UnileverSaturday, 6 December 2014Global Landscapes Forum, Lima, Peru#COP20GLF #ThinkLandscapeFor more information go to: www.landscapes.org
