Community forestry. Where and why has devolution of forest rights contributed to better governance and livelihoods?

Presented by Steven Lawry, Director of Equity, Gender and Tenure research program at CIFOR, at the webinar organized by the CGIAR Research Program on Policies, Institutions, and Markets (www.pim.cgiar.org) on August 29, 2017. He summarized findings of selected meta-analyses, presented case studies from Nepal, Guatemala, and Mexico, and previewed emerging research looking at the investment effects of community forestry models that feature strong elements of forest rights devolution.
