Strengthening Innovation Systems in the North of Cameroon (ReSI-NoC) is a 4 year project funded by the EU and implemented by ICRAF, CIFOR, CIRAD et IRAD.

ReSI-NoC overall objective is to promote economically profitable, ecologically sustainable and socially equitable agricultural production, livestock and forest management systems in the North Region of Cameroon.

The specific objective is to strengthen agricultural innovation and forest management systems in the processes of inclusive planning, consultation, co-creation and implementation of technical, organizational and social innovations.

The approach of the project consists of three stages to be implemented at the territorial level:

i) a diagnosis of population dynamics, including the gender dimension, their livelihoods, their activities, their impacts on natural resources, climate change and its implication on practices, as well as an in-depth institutional analysis of the existing agricultural innovation system;

ii) the establishment of innovation platforms (or other relevant mechanisms) bringing together actors from sectors and territories;

iii) experimentation, adaptation and popularization of technical, organizational and social innovations based on a participatory approach with particular attention to involving women, young people and vulnerable groups.
