In 2016 APP started its Integrated Forestry & Farming System (IFSS) program in an effort to improve the well-being of agroforestry local communities and reducing their dependence on forest. In this project we assess related policies, regulations and the potential impacts of interventions under the IFSS program to support building livelihood options based on viable agroforestry systems that enable sustainable landscape development and reduce fires. This will involve research at community level as well as reviews of policies. The project is a collaboration between CIFOR and ICRAF.
