In order to strengthen FAO's capacity to address policy makers in the interlinkages between climate change, food security and nutrition (FSN), and in particular to strengthen member country's capacities to integrate agricultural and food security concerns into National Adaptation planning, FAO has published a Supplement on Agriculture to the LEG Technical Guidelines. These are to be complemented by a publication on "Addressing Forestry and Agroforestry in National Adaptation Plans."
This project will produce this supplement publication which aim to provide guidance to help stakeholders at all levels to integrate forests, trees and agroforestry concerns and perspectives into the NAP process; and addresses a wide range of policy makers in various Ministries (e.g: Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment, Finance, Budgeting, and Planning) as well as practitioners in bilateral and multilateral institutions, CSOs, the private sector, and FAO staff at headquarters and in country offices.
