Global Programme Responsible Land Policy - Peru

This project is designed to contribute empirical information about the processess and outcomes of titling at community level to ongoing discussions within and among the actors. It will draw on the experience from CIFOR's Global Comparative Study on Tenure Reforms conducted since 2014 in the regions of Loreto and madre de Dios.

The project will aim at spending the work started with the GCS Tenure project in two more regions that have recently undergone formalization processes, San Martin and Ucayali. It will analyse current progress and challanges of tittling initiatives in these two regions drawing on existing methodologies to better understand the gormalization process as well as related outcomes.
