A global comparative study on forest tenure reforms has generated important qualitative and quantitative gender-differentiated data in Peru, Indonesia and Uganda. These include focus groups and intra-household surveys, key informant interviews, and some gendered assessment through Participatory Prospective Analysis.

The data analysis being conducted for this project will contribute to a journal article on women’s rights within collective tenure regimes.

CIFOR is analyzing the outcomes of forest tenure reforms, and a policy brief with results and recommendations for a gendered approach to tenure security in collective regimes will be produced.
