To provide REDD policymakers and practitioner communities with the information, analysis and tools they need to ensure effective and cost-efficient reduction of carbon emissions with equitable impacts and co-benefits – including poverty reduction, enhancement of non-carbon ecosystem services, and protection of local livelihoods, rights and tenure.
Improved national polices, institutional arrangements, and reward mechanisms for effective REDD schemes. Critically examined options for REDD payment mechanisms and other policies and institutions at national and local levels. Science-based knowledge and information on forests and climate change for policy formulation in national and international processes
