The project aims at assessing the effectiveness of tropical forest certification vs. non certified forests from a biophysical and socioeconomic dimension in three countries: Brazil, Indonesia and Gabon. This phase relies on an exhaustive analysis of the temporal dynamcs of certification to generate typologies which will be used for the application of statistical matching algorithms. This includes also an analysis of deforestation and degradation.
