The objectives of this project are: 1. Improvement of understanding on the implementation methods of REDD+ mechanism from pilot projects in the rain forest area of Southeast Asia 2. Evaluation of the effect of replanting commercial species in a deforested or degraded land on carbon stock changes 3. Assessment of the long-term effect of oil palm plantation on carbon circulating mechanism in rainforests 4. Development of an useful tool which enables policy makers to design new public support policies under REDD+ mechanism
