The aim of this comprehensive and in-depth study is to assess the state of mainstreaming biodiversity in the forest sector, take stock of existing concepts and tools for integrating biodiversity in forest management and make recommendations for future actions as regards the role of forestry in FAO’s work on biodiversity mainstreaming across agricultural sectors.
