CIFOR will collaborate with the GIZ and national partners in Indonesia and the Philippines to consolidate and analyze existing and available information through a climate change lens. Impact chains in coastal seascapes will be identified and presented, as well as potential adaptation options. The study will be implemented in two components: Component 1 - Understanding, delineating, and communicating climate change impact chains in coastal areas. At the end of component 1, a webinar will be conducted with stakeholders from the GIZ project 'Inventory of Methods for Adaptation to Climate Change' and other concerned parties. Component 2 - Understanding and communicating current and potential ecosystem based adaptation practices in coastal areas. At the end of component 2, a second webinar will be conducted with stakeholders from Indonesia and the Philippines and other concerned parties to discuss the potential of ecosystem-based adaptation strategies in the region.
