Objectives of the project: To analyze the potential impacts of integrating different adaptation measures in REDD+ pilot projects by forecasting the social return on investment (SROI). Expected Output : Impact maps of different adaptation strategies as compared to no intervention Prioritization of strategies according to their social return of investment score Guidebook on conducting SROI studies for planning and evaluating adaptation interventions in REDD+ projects Method : Social Return on Investment (SROI) is an innovative framework developed from social accounting and cost benefit analysis methods to forecast, measure and account for value generated by different strategies and activities. An SROI analysis can encompass all types of outcomes (social, economic and Ecosystem) with relevant outcomes determined by the stakeholders concerned through a participatory process. Through visual impact maps, SROI present stories of change, which include both qualitative and quantitative findings, and measurements of the social, Ecosystem and economic outcomes and their assigned monetary values.
