This trader in New Amsterdam tells us how he grew in an afro-indigenous community, in which hunting is still an important tradition. He sells wildmeat to local inhabitants of New Amsterdam or Guyanese living abroad, who wish to taste their typical dish when they come to visit. However, he is also worried about the sustainability of this practice and the impact on wildlife by the extractive industry.
