The gold mine in Tamiougou just south of Kongoussi. Due to the lack of work young people are turning increasingly to gold mining in Burkina Faso. Over 80%%%% of the population derives its income from agriculture. But over the last 5 years, due to poor rainfall, crop yields have declined. The search for gold is the new attraction for young people around the country, Burkina Faso.
