Milton Pinto, a young Ticuna resident of Puerto Nariño, Colombia, and other hunters like him in the Ticoya Indigenous Reserve, use a cell phone app to record details such as the type of game they hunted, how far they traveled and how they used the meat. Working with researchers to gather and analyze the data, the hunters will draw up a management plan that can be adjusted based on the results of the monitoring.
