Workshop on REDD methodologies: Lessons learned from demonstration activities

The Bogor Agriculture University (IPB) and CIFOR are coorganising this workshop.

This workshop will take place over two days. On the first day, speakers from national and international agencies will share their views of national REDD processes and experiences with REDD demonstration activities. During the second day, participants will break out into three working groups to discuss the issues in more detail. A facilitator will lead each working group.

The key objectives of the workshop include:

• Understanding global and national processes in the development of REDD policies and implementation
• Exploring approaches and methodologies in setting the national REL in the context of cost-efficient subnational implementation
• Sharing methodologies for effective REDD implementation
• Exchanging lessons learned in community development projects about implementation and monitoring for equitable benefit sharing.
