The event will focus on REDD+ challenges and opportunities in the Amazon. Participants will highlight the bottlenecks in public !nancing and market-based funding mechanisms for forest conservation. We will also address the importance of and potential for using REDD+ to conserve the Amazon biome. Participants will hear various perspectives on REDD+ from the main stakeholders in the Amazon, including policy makers, NGOs, traditional forest communities and Indigenous People.
