Overview

CIFOR-ICRAF Internal Audit Unit seeks applications from students who are looking to gain professional experience in the field of auditing. Motivated individuals with the following will be considered for the internship.

Duties and responsibilities

Under the leadership of the Director of Internal Audit will assist other members of CIFOR-ICRAF IAU in carrying out a comprehensive program of risk based internal auditing with the aim of bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal control systems and governance processes at CIFOR-ICRAF. S/he will assist in successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of pre planning and wrap up activities.

During this internship, the intern will assist in the following areas:
  • Provide internal audit services (Preparing TOR, Notification letter, assistance in preparation of presentations related to Audits in PowerPoint form).
  • Assist in Internal Audit Director/Manager and other internal auditors in data analytical operations.
  • Perform other related duties from time to time as required.


Education, knowledge and experience

  • Recent undergraduates or graduates with a Bachelor of Commerce/Business Administration/Finance/Accounting degrees.
  • Registered or part-qualified students with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India / Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) / Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and oral).
  • Ability to maintain information in a database in a methodical and objective manner.
  • Pro?ciency in using Microsoft O?ce software (speci?cally Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Experience in using auditing software would be an added advantage.

  • Strong self-motivation while being a team player.
  • Integrity is of utmost importance.

Terms and conditions

  • This is an Internship opportunity.
  • The appointment will be for 1 (one) year
  • CIFOR’s employment conditions follow local labor laws and regulations. CIFOR will employ suitable candidates regardless of nationality, provided that they comply with the local requirements for working at the posting location.
  • CIFOR may provide the Intern with a monthly stipend or living allowance in accordance with the Project Document or as agreed with the Sponsor. The stipend or living allowance provided to the Intern shall follow the rate used by the Human Resources Unit for Interns at CIFOR.
  • The duty station will be in New Delhi, India.
