The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) envisions a more equitable world where forestry and landscapes enhance the environment and well-being for all. Overview

The Center for International Forestry Research advances human wellbeing, environmental conservation and equity by conducting research to inform policies and practices that affect forests in developing countries. We are one of 15 centres within the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). Our headquarters are in Bogor, Indonesia, and we have offices in Asia, Africa and South America.
We are a growing organisation that is making a difference, and we are now seeking qualified candidates for Programmers.
The System Development group is part of our Information Communication and Technology unit which is responsible for maintaining, developing, guiding and managing computer software systems, both in-house and proprietary, to support our aspiration to become the leader in information and analysis on forestry research.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining existing and developing new systems, help end users, manage reporting and documentation of systems and use.
The successful candidate is a high-performance developer with proven commitment, self-awareness, able to add value to the team and willing to learn.

Duties and responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
• Coding for new or existing desktop and web-based applications
• Generate reports from corporate application software
• Perform system development documentations based on corporate guidelines
• Uphold corporate system development life cycle standards
• Perform other duties as required.

Education, knowledge and experience

Education, experience and technical skills
• Bachelors degree or equivalent diploma in Computer Science
• Having experience in programming using
o ASP Classic
o Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
o ASP.NET with C# language in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
• Having experience in programming using
o ASP.NET with C# language in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
o Microsoft SQL Server 2008
• Having experience these experience would be an advantage
o PHP, JQUERY or AJAX
o DevX 10.2
o K2 Blackpearl
Skilled enough in English to conduct everyday business, send emails, read and develop technical manuals and provide technical assistance to clients.

Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions
• CIFOR offers competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience.
• The successful candidate will be hired as a consultant under a 1-year contract.
• The duty station will be at CIFOR headquarters in Bogor, Indonesia.
