What do Asia-Pacific’s rainforests
mean to you?
Congratulations to the winners of the 2018 Asia-Pacific Rainforest Summit Photo Competition!
We are pleased to announce Sentinels from India by Prajnyan Goswami as the winner of the Audience’s Choice Award.
Online voters had their say in choosing the winning photograph from a gallery of more than 360 fantastic entries from across the region.
For the Jury’s Choice Award, a jury of three international judges chose as the winners: First place: Over The Rainbow from Indonesia by Reksa Manggala ; Second place: Peat Swamp Forest from Indonesia by Febrianto Budi Anggoro.
The jury made their selections based on the outstanding technical and aesthetic quality of the photographs, plus the images ability to demonstrate the value of Asia-Pacific's rainforests.
The top 20 photographs, including the 2 winners and 18 runners-up as selected by the jury, are displayed on this page as a tribute to spectacular photographs submitted in this year's competition. The top 3 photographs will be displayed in an exhibition at the Asia-Pacific Rainforest Summit venue in Yogyakarta from 23 to 25 April 2018.
