This session will discuss integrated approaches to landscape restoration and sustainable land management. Drawing on examples from different regions of the world and from perspectives of different stakeholder groups, it will explore relevant experiences and best practices, socio-economic issues, and enabling policy and institutional frameworks.
The session will consist of presentations by the authors of selected voluntary papers submitted to the Congress. Each author will be asked to give a short presentation of the paper, then to focus on providing a few key messages of wider relevance. The outcome of the session will be summarized in a report and the key message(s) reflected in the report of the World Forestry Congress.
