Regional Initiatives

The Regional Centre for Hydric Resources (CRRH) is implementing a European Union funded project "Progrma for the Reduction of Vulnerability and Environmental Degradation" (PREVDA) which is consisting of 3 intervention lines.

The first is concentrating on Institutional Strengthening while focusing on human capacity building and technology innovation in the field of climatic forecast. The second component is complementing another regional initiative (the Support Program for the Centroamerican Integration PAIRC-EU) which seeks to strengthen the existing regional institutions (CRRH, CCAD and CEPREDENAC) on capacity to face hydro-meteorological disasters and harmonizing the legal framework on water. The third component is focusing on field actin in identified priority watersheds around the water resouce triangle of Watershed-climate-disasters.
