Research in Eastern and Southern Africa
Most of CIFOR’s research in Eastern and Southern Africa research falls under the Forest and Livelihoods programme’s theme on improving human well-being through forests. The intermediate goal is to improve human well-being through enhancing local forest-based practices, improving industry-smallholder forestry partnerships, and increasing the forestry content of poverty alleviation policies, strategies and programmes.
