The Australian Goverment Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is the lead agency managing Australia’s international presence. DFAT provides foreign, trade and development policy advice to the Australian Government. DFAT is one of CIFOR’s top funding partners, supporting research since 2007. DFAT has supported CIFOR’s REDD+ research, as well as work on combatting illegal timber trade in Indonesia.
