is the research institution attached to the regional University of Pando.
Its research and education focuses on the region's development and
conservation.

Herencia Interdisciplinaria para el Desarollo Sostenible
is a local NGO implementing most of the management plan in Manuripi.

Museo de Historia Natural, Noel Kempff Mercado is a
Santa Cruz based museum of natural history engaged in research throughout
Bolivia.

ATD: Association Terre et Développement is a local
NGO based in Ngoumou, the “capital” of the administrative division, and is
linked to a Belgian NGO. They provided one of their staff to help facilitate
meetings and exercises and assist in the household surveys.

ONADEF (Office National de Développement des Forêts)
is in charge of the management of the forest reserve and is currently being
restructured. It is not clear who will take over the management. The office
in Ngoumou was involved in previous CIFOR activities in the area and they
were officially notified of our presence and of the goals of the project.
They were helpful in providing us with a map of the reserve.

University of Yaoundé I. Dr Zpafack from the
university was our botanist, in charge of the sample plot activities and
supervising a student who will write her Master's thesis on the survey
results.
- The team also included a researcher from the ACM programme who had
worked in the village before and who was mostly involved in the village
activities.
