Collaborative forest management of teak forest in Central Java

OBJECTIVES

In Java, the LPF project aims at improving forest management by facilitating stakeholders’ (mainly local community) coordination and capacity building though some training and forest management practices.

The project aims to achieve the following goals:

  • Improved local community livelihood through better management of collaborative forest area and increased opportunity for income diversification, and

  • Improved local institutions in the form of better management, and improved skills in communication, coordination, and negotiation (for agreements, contracts, etc.)
