  This manual provides 79 page manual provides a suite of simple methods for use in assessing human well being. The manual is part of CIFOR’s C&I Toolbox, and was originally developed for use in assessing sustainable forest management in forests managed for timber. However, it has been found to more widely useful, in forests managed for other purposes.

A social Forestry Model (Experiences from Blantyre City Fuelwood Project in Southern Malawi). This manual (144 pp.) describes the team’s experience working with the communities involved in the well known Blantyre City Fuelwood project, and draws out broader lessons from their work.
