CIFORs multiyear Global Comparative Study on REDD aims to inform policy-makers, practitioners and donors about what works in reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries (REDD+). The project is composed of a multidisciplinary research team of different nationalities, and covers three major forest basins. The REDD+ GCS project is funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, the Australian Agency for International Development, the UK Department for International Development and the European Commission
