Forest Map

The state of forest in Indonesia is facing a serious challenge: destructive logging, either legal or illegal, illegal logging, forest conversion into agriculture, large scale of plantation, mining and other things for the reason of the economic growth.

Those changed need to concern, criticize and if it necessary, the recent information of Indonesian forest should be open access either to national or international community given the ecological function of forest such as to absorb of CO2.

Though forest is boundary by the country jurisdiction and geographic but its function is passing through the boundaries of the imaginary.

The recent of state forest Map is one of the main indicators to monitor the management of forest resources. This is become an important indicator to observe the spatial changed in forest area and furthermore it is a way to monitoring the environment and forest more broadly and linked it with the policy changes in forestry sector.
