International Forestry Students’ Association
Sarah Dickson-Hoyle is the lead representative of the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA) at the University of Melbourne, Australia, where she recently completed a Master of Forest Ecosystem Science with a focus on community based forestry and natural resource management. In 2013 she was elected by the IFSA General Assembly to the position of IFSA-CIFOR Liaison Officer.
In her role as Liaison Officer, Sarah is responsible for managing the formal partnership, and all communications, between IFSA and CIFOR. She is passionate about advocating for student opportunities in international forestry research and events, and for providing a voice for youth in forest policy processes.
Sarah has been working alongside CIFOR and YPARD to coordinate the Youth in Southeast Asia Session at the Forests Asia Summit.
