Executive Director, Non-Timber Forest Products Exchange Programme South and Southeast Asia (NTFP-EP)
Maria Cristina “Crissy” S. Guerrero has worked on community forestry and indigenous peoples concerns over the last two decades. Themes of focus have been community enterprise development, ancestral domain delineation and management, non-timber forest products policy advocacy, participatory resource monitoring (PRM), traditional ecological knowledge, indigenous community conserved areas and recently climate change mitigation and adaptation. Her training is in Business Management and International Development with field experience particularly on the island of Palawan in the Philippines and Indonesian Borneo. She is currently the Executive Director of the Non-Timber Forest Products Exchange Programme for South and Southeast Asia . NTFP-EP works to build the capacities of forest based people on sustainable livelihoods, resource management, and land and resource rights issues in the region. NTFP-EP is a partner of the ASEAN Social Forestry Network (ASFN).
