President Director, Cargill Tropical Palm Holdings
As president director of Cargill’s PT Hindoli oil palm plantation, Anthony Yeow is primarily responsible for all aspects of Hindoli’s business performance. Hindoli manages more than 39,000 hectares of oil palm plantations comprising both company and plasma areas located in South Sumatra, Indonesia.
Anthony joined Cargill from PPB Oil Palms where he was group manager in charge of three oil palm plantations in Kalimantan. He also held the position of divisional manager at their Saremas estate in Sarawak and led the effort to plant over 3000 hectares of clonal palms. Prior to PBB Oil Palm, Anthony was with Socfin Company Berhad in Malaysia where he began his career in 1986. There, he managed one of the largest rubber plantations in Malaysia of about 6000 hectares and was also the first to introduce the no-burn policy to Malaysia.
Anthony is an active member of the Incorporated Society of Planters in Malaysia and has served as branch secretary at various locations.
He graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree. Anthony also holds a Diploma of Associate of the Incorporated Society of Planters.
He is married with three children aged 19, 20 and 22 and is an ardent cyclist and traveler.
