Photographer’s remarks

The community relies on this man-made rice terraces in Barangay Cayapes, Kapangan for rice planting during the rainy season. It was considered as the major source of economic activity of the locals in the area. Other planted crops include temperate vegetables like chayote, beans, and cucumber. These are irrigated by water resources from creeks and springs that are connected with the forests nearby.

    This is Cayapes. It is one of the smallest barangay in Benguet Province where there is a pontential for eco-tourism as well as agricultural development.
