Photographer’s remarks

This is an image of gold-ringed mangrove snake taken in Malaysia. Mangrove forests are not only home to aquatic species. They also support various land animals such as crocodiles, birds, tigers, deer, monkeys, honey bees and reptiles. Some species of birds even depend on mangrove forests for their seasonal migration. All these species could not survive without the mangrove ecosystem.
