Photographer’s remarks

Two young guys work together to move the Jeruk Bali wood, Citrus grandis, harvested from the community forestland in Samigaluh. People in Samigaluh usually log the woods in accordance to their need, or in Indonesian this is known as tebang-butuh - necessity-based logging. It means that they only harvest the wood when facing big need requiring big cost, such as when they need to get their children into school or when they are having a big family event.
