Standing in the sun’s heat government officers from the Ministry of Environment (MoE) and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) are taking part in a field workshop on the design of a national forestry inventory (NFI) that would be sustainable in the long run. Using special equipments such as GPS, remote sensing, vertex laser the team (consisting of five persons) was tasked to measure the height and distance of the trees in the field plot located in one of the country’s most remote areas – the rear mangrove forest in Koh Kong province.
