Review of experiences of Community Forestry and Leasehold Forestry in addressing livelihoods improvement of forest poor

To compile and analyze the key literatures on LF and CF to distill evidences and insights on how the two programs facilitate creating pro-poor livelihood impact.

Analysis of social structural opportunities and constraint to livelihoods improvements of poor and marginal groups from forests in Nepal

To understand social-structural opportunities and constraints to livelihoods improvements of poor and marginal groups from forests in Nepal.

Improving benefits to forest poor : learning from best practices of community-based forest enterprise institutions in Nepal

To draw from experiences of cooperatives from forestry and other sectors (e.g. NTFP, Timber, Rural Credit etc) and examine the feasibility of applying ‘successful’ experiences to strengthen local institutional arrangements in LF to increase benefits to poor groups.

People, forest and policies : impacts of various forestry programs on livelihoods of poor (book)

The Books will summarize and synthesize key lessons on how forests contribute to livelihoods of the poor in Nepal, and on how policy-and project-level interventions have influenced the livelihood contributions of forests.
