Expected Outcomes
Review of experiences of Community Forestry and Leasehold Forestry in addressing livelihoods improvement of forest poor
A review report containing detailed description of various experience of Community and Leasehold Forestry programs in addressing livelihoods improvement of poor from forests in Nepal as elaborated in the ToR.
A summary report containing key recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of various interventions under the Leasehold and Community Forestry programs for improving income-generation and empowerment of the forest-dependent poor.
A manuscript, based on the review, to be submitted for publication in a refereed journal, in consultation with Principal Scientist and Project Coordinator.
A policy brief focusing on key lessons and specific recommendations from both the Community and Leasehold Forestry programs for government and donor agencies suggesting reforms that can support more effective income-generation strategies to increase benefits to poor.
Compilation of LF literatures and submission of an annotated bibliography.
